Research

Research Analysis of three posters                                      Sherlock from BBC In this tv series it is deemed as a mystery crime drama with thriller aspects to it. It is also set in Britain. The colour scheme of this poster is cool, dark, gloomy, ominous and mysterious just as it is specified to be in the genre. The fonts used for this is quite simple even though it had been withered into at the edges and cracks have seeped through making it even more intriguing for the target audience. The layout is quite simple as it is two men standing together seriously or somewhat with intimidation at a gloomy place. Planning

Planning The places I plan on using is the places locally such as the tree area near the college, the pathway near my friend’s house. I’ve also used the field opposite the college. The people who I would include are my friends who also live locally so it was quite easy to get to these places. The title that I’m going to use for my poster is Bad Dreams. The tagline that would follow the title would be “Can you wake up?”. The genre that these posters might follow would be survival, killer or/and psychological thriller but would not go against the ASA rules.

The colour scheme would consist of dark greys, blues and dark reds to convey the thriller theme. The fonts would be related to the colour scheme. The tagline would be underneath the title which would be at the top in the middle of the poster in quite a large sized font. The audience would be represented in a good way as well as the company and it would not be advertised as something bad or harmful to its audience. I intend to show two different social groups, female and male. They would be represented in the poster as dramatic, and this would then therefore give hints to the audience what the show might be about and what genre it is. Another representation is that th...
